"M42": Launching a new operating structure to promote innovation in global healthcare

Abu Dhabi, January 23 / WAM / M42 International Medical Group announced today the launch of a new operational structure aimed at enhancing innovation in healthcare, focusing business on strategic priorities, and accelerating the growth of local and international business.

The new structure includes the establishment of four new platforms under “M42” to support the group’s strategic ambitions for growth, including internal and external growth, expansion into new markets, forming influential and effective partnerships to bridge the gaps in global health care, and harnessing artificial intelligence to bring about a qualitative transformation in healthcare systems. Under the new structure, M42 will focus on strategic planning, strategic mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, strategic human resources, legal affairs, strategic communications, global procurement, internal audit, and risk management.

The new operational model includes the establishment of four platforms that operate with a greater degree of independence, responsibility and accountability, in the context of the “M42” group’s endeavor to grow, expand and achieve the common ambition.

These platforms include the “Global Patient Care” platform, which was established through the merger of Emirati and international health institutions as a leading institution in global health care, as it operates 480 clinics in 26 countries and provides its services to 15 million patients annually. Its comprehensive services include kidney care, treatment Chronic disease and outpatient management, diagnostics, women’s and children’s health, specialty surgery, and long-term care.

Dimitrismoulavasilis, CEO of Diaverm, part of the M42 Group, and Acting Chief Operating Officer of the M42 Group, has been appointed CEO of this platform.

To support this initiative, Dr. Ali Anis will serve as Chief Operating Officer of the Global Patient Care Platform in the UAE and Bahrain, while Dr. Mai Al Jaber will serve as Chief Executive Officer of Outpatient Care, while Dr. Laila Abdel-Wareth will serve as Chief Diagnostics Officer, and Dr. Sumaya Zaher will serve as Chief Executive Officer of Outpatient Care. The “Integrated Health Solutions” platform focuses on national programs and population health, and aims to address global health disparities through precise, preventive and predictive care. The pioneering “Life Sciences with Artificial Intelligence” platform targets drug discovery and development, harnesses artificial intelligence and partnerships across the life sciences value chain, and builds “M42” capabilities in this field, as Dr. Fahd Al Marzouqi will serve as acting CEO of the platform until a CEO is appointed.

Underpinning all platforms will be M42 Group’s continued focus on cloud computing, modern technologies and engineering, enabling these platforms to deliver their services to individuals, communities and countries.
