Indonesia.. The death toll from floods and landslides has risen to 21 people

Rescuers in Indonesia recovered four additional bodies after resuming search operations on Wednesday for those missing from floods and landslides that struck Indonesia’s main island of Java, raising the death toll to 21 people.
Overflowing river water swept away nine villages in the Pekalongan district of Central Java province, and landslides poured into mountain villages after heavy rains on Monday.
Videos and photos published by the National Search and Rescue Agency showed rescue workers digging furiously in villages where roads and terraced green rice fields had turned into dark brown mud, and villages were covered in thick mud, rocks and uprooted trees.

Landslide

National Disaster Management Agency spokesman Abdul Mahari said the floods caused a landslide that buried two houses and a cafe in the Betongkrion resort area.
Combined, the disasters resulted in the destruction of 25 homes, a dam and three major bridges linking villages in Pekalongan.
At least 13 people were injured, and nearly 300 people were forced to flee to temporary government shelters.
Search and rescue operations, hampered by bad weather, mudslides and rugged terrain, were halted on Tuesday afternoon due to heavy rain and dense fog that made affected areas along the rivers dangerous for rescue teams.
