The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has achieved a new global achievement by obtaining the World Summit Award “WSA” as the only winner from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the year 2024 for the “Nask” project within the category of culture and heritage; This is after a strong competition with more than 900 technical projects from 160 countries, which reflects the Kingdom’s leadership in developing innovative technical solutions that enhance the experience of the guests of Rahman and highlight cultural and heritage values.
The World Summit Award, “WSA”, which was founded in 2003; One of the most important international awards that celebrate the influential digital initiatives.

The award is awarded every two years, with the participation of more than 186 countries; It aims to reduce the digital gap globally by honoring smart applications and distinguished electronic content, as well as it is one of the most prominent international initiatives adopted by the International Telecommunication Union.

The victory embodies the efforts of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in support of the comprehensive digital transformation that is one of the targets of Saudi Vision 2030; Where the ministry has developed the “Nesc” system as a package of innovative technical solutions that facilitate the performance of the rituals, address challenges, and enhances operational efficiency, and on it the Nesk system was chosen among the most influential solutions.

“Nasce” system

Among the most prominent achievements of the “Nesc” system are the development of leading systems such as the Nesk Card, Nesk Path, and the promotion systems; Which contributed to improving and developing procedures.
The Nesc application also pays special attention to highlighting the features of the Prophet’s biography and cultural destinations in Makkah and Madinah, where more than 150 prominent teachers have been added that include museums, antiquities, restaurants, cafes, tourist destinations, and what enriches user experience within the application.

“Nesk” application

The Nesc application provides the opportunity for more than 400 licensed guides to provide exploratory trips for the guests of Rahman, as well as adding more than 100 exploratory rounds; It highlights the features of Mecca and Medina; What promotes visitors’ understanding of Islamic heritage and creates an integrated spiritual and cultural experience.
The achievement comes as a result of the great directives and support that the service of the guests of Rahman has the servant of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince -may God protect them -within the Kingdom’s message in harnessing technology to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their opponents, and enrich their journey from the beginning to the end, in confirmation of the leadership of Saudi Arabia in providing an experience Unique and integrated for the guests of Rahman.
