"Energy Circle – Abu Dhabi and "National Meteorology" They discuss cooperation in the field of water resources management

Abu Dhabi, January 26/ WAM/ The Energy Department in Abu Dhabi discussed enhancing cooperation with the National Meteorological Center and benefiting from rain water in the energy sector, as well as the advanced capabilities owned by the center in the field of water resources management and reducing the effects of climate change.
This came during the visit of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Hamid Al -Jarwan, Head of the Energy Department in Abu Dhabi and the accompanying delegation to the National Meteorological Center, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al -Mandous, Director General of the Center, Head of the World Meteorological Organization, His Excellency Eng. , Acting Director General of Acting Affairs in the Energy Department, Omar Al Yazidi, Deputy Director General of the Center.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation through exchanging experiences and experiences and reviewing the most advanced center technologies in weather control and analyzing data supported by artificial intelligence, advanced technology and global partnerships with scientists and specialized institutes and the mechanism of addressing the phenomenon of climate change, rain and modern technologies in climate control and future forensic, in a way that contributes to achieving goals Sustainability in the energy sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the UAE in general.
His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Hamid Al -Jarwan praised the employment of the center of the UAE cadres and competencies and their training methods and their rehabilitation for the labor market for the energy, environment and sustainability sector, noting the importance of enhancing cooperation between the department and the National Center for Meteorology and benefiting from national and international partnerships to support the water resources management and sustainability efforts in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
He emphasized the vital role played by the National Meteorological Center in providing accurate and reliable data that supports strategic decisions in various sectors.
For his part, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al -Mandous stressed the importance of close cooperation between the center and the Energy Department to achieve common goals in the field of environmental sustainability and support sustainable development in the country and pointed out that the National Meteorological Center has an integrated system of modern technologies and advanced infrastructure that contributes to providing accurate and reliable data about Weather and climate, which would support the energy circle in making strategic decisions based on scientific foundations, ensuring a balance between economic development and environmental protection.
He added that strengthening joint cooperation between the two sides will contribute to developing innovative solutions to meet the challenges of climate change and manage natural resources more efficiently.
For her part, Alia Al Mazrouei, Director of the Emirates Program for Intelligence Research, spoke about the role of the program in diversifying water resources and reducing dependence on traditional sources of water, describing it as an important step in facing the challenges of water scarcity by strengthening sustainable water management and providing innovative solutions to address this challenge.
During the visit, His Excellency was briefed on the advanced capabilities of the National Meteorological Center, its infrastructure, the main prediction center, the climate department, and the Sustainability Meteorological Department, which is concerned with developing weather forecasts to serve sustainability and renewable energy projects.
He listened to an explanation about the latest technologies and methodologies used by the center including weather control systems, high -performance computer infrastructure, and advanced data analysis tools.
