A massive fire broke out in a residential building in Türkiye

The Turkish “Khobar” channel reported that a huge fire broke out in a building that is still in the construction phase in the Turkish governorate of Alanya, where some workers were at the scene.

Local media indicated that the fire broke out in a 9 -storey hotel in Alaania in Antalya, in southern Turkey, and there are a number of people working in the place that are still trapped inside the building.

It is noteworthy that the accident comes only days after the death of 78 people, in a fire in a hotel at a tourist resort in Polo, northwestern Türkiye.

The Turkish authorities detained 19 people to connect them with the fire that broke out in the resort with the continued investigations, according to the Turkish Anatolia News Agency on Monday.

Among those who were detained are the owner of the hotel and the director, head of the local firefighting department and the deputy mayor of Polo Governorate. Anatolia also stated that an arrest warrant was issued against an employee of the inspection company.
