The victory of the Tunisian team, the Oman, Beirut, and the wisdom in the Dubai International basket
Dubai, January 28/ WAM/ The Emirates basketball team lost to the Lebanese Beirut team with a score of 70-81 in the fifth round of the first group in the Dubai International Basketball Championship in its 34th edition, which is currently held at the Rashid Bin Hamdan Hall in Al-Nasr Club with the participation of 10 teams .
The Beirut team booked this victory with the second qualification card from this group alongside the Philippine Strong.
Within the same group, the Jordanian Omani Union team defeated Al-Nasr team with a score of 107-82.
The last round will be decided tomorrow, the identity of the other qualified teams to the quarter -finals, where 4 teams qualify for each group.
In the second group, Tunisia defeated the Sharjah team with a score of 99-85 in the fifth round to ensure the second qualification card for this group after the Libyan people of Tripoli, while the Lebanese wisdom achieved a great victory over the Philippine Zambanga 90-65.
Hamdan Saeed Al -Zaabi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Basketball Federation, Chairman of the Referees Committee, Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Championship, stressed that the tournament has the participation of a group of distinguished teams, which seeks to prepare for the upcoming entitlements.
He explained that the participation of the Emirates team in this tournament comes in the framework of preparing for the next stage of the Asian qualifiers, noting that the goal is to achieve a positive technical return represented in the escalation of performance from one match to another to support the team in the upcoming benefits.
