From this standpoint, the importance of initiatives aimed at restoring and improving dilapidated homes to be suitable for decent living by providing a healthy and safe environment that enhances the stability of families and improves their living conditions.
The Tarqam Association for Development in Makkah Al -Mukarramah Region is implementing projects specialized in restoring the homes of needy families according to studied plans and modern engineering standards with the aim of achieving social solidarity and improving the residential environment.

Safe dwellings

The CEO of the association, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al -Darba, stressed that the association continues its continuous efforts to implement the housing restoration and development projects for its beneficiaries, with the aim of providing safe and sustainable housing that guarantee a decent life for the families owed.
He explained that the association has worked since its foundation in 2022 to implement restoration projects that included a number of homes and contributed to improving the quality of life for a large number of beneficiaries, where 657 homes were restored for more than 3200 beneficiaries in 7 governorates, while volunteering hours reached 19718.5 voluntary hours through kinship 707 volunteers with an economic return 731,406,25, and the percentage of contentment from volunteers was 100% in the volunteer work platform report for the year 2024.
“Al -Darbah” pointed out that the association relies on integrated strategies to implement restoration projects according to accurate standards that ensure sustainability and efficiency in implementation, where the case of the targeted homes is carefully studied and appropriate solutions are established for each case, ensuring improving the quality of construction and raising the level of safety for beneficiary families.
The association is also keen to adopt the latest engineering practices to ensure the implementation of projects in high quality and at appropriate costs, which contributes to achieving the best possible benefit from the available resources.

He added that the association operates according to a clear strategic vision that aims to achieve social solidarity by providing a safe residential environment for needy families, and the association seeks to build partnerships with various supportive bodies in order to ensure the continuity of projects and increase their social impact, as the association believes that active partnerships with government institutions The private sector contributes to supporting restoration projects in a sustainable manner, which reflects positively on the lives of beneficiary families.
He stressed that the association is not limited to restoration projects only, but its activities include the implementation of programs to support families by providing various aids such as food baskets and electrical appliances to ensure improving the quality of life for the beneficiaries, as during the last period qualitative projects were implemented to support families, by providing food baskets that benefited Of them 50 families, in addition to providing air conditioning devices for a number of needy families within the social support programs implemented by the association.
