The Film Authority organizes a training workshop for the art industry art in Jeddah

The Film Authority is preparing to organize a training workshop in the city of Jeddah under the title “From Idea to a Screenplay” during the period from the second to the fifth of February.
This workshop aims to enable the participants to get to know the emergence of the story and develop it in an effective visual way that contributes to attracting the audience’s attention and enhances the quality of cinematic works.

Developing script writing skills

The workshop continues for a period of three days with the participation of 20 trainees, which will be presented by the writer and director Mohamed bin Attia, who will direct the participants through a group of basic axes that contribute to developing their skills in writing the scenario professionally. These axes include determining the writer’s intention to communicate his idea or affection to the public in an effective manner .
And how to benefit from references and signals to determine the atmosphere and feelings in the scenario, in addition to developing characters and understanding their backgrounds, motives and extent of their development during the course of the events of the story.

Building a dramatic plot

The focus will also determine the basic problem that moves the dramatic plot forward and work to build events in an escalating way that enhances excitement and suspense.
The basic concepts of writing the script will be presented with exploring ways to overcome traditional rules in an innovative style that adds a real value to the story and contributes to providing an integrated work dramatically and artistic.
The workshop aims to provide the participants with knowledge and tools that enable them to express their ideas, and turn them into integrated scenarios that reflect their creative vision.
Participants will be chosen based on the availability of an idea for a short film they want to develop in an interactive environment that gives them the opportunity to benefit from practical experiences and directives.
