Ras Al Khaimah Youth Council raises the country’s flag as part of the “Proud of the Emirates” event, with wide participation
Ras Al Khaimah, April 18 / WAM / The Ras Al Khaimah Youth Council, in cooperation with the National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah, organized a national community event entitled “Proud of the Emirates”, at the waterfront in the Shaam area, with wide participation from members of the community, including citizens and residents, and in the presence of a number of local and federal agencies and institutions and from the private sector.
This event comes in response to the call of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” to raise the UAE flag to embody the values of national belonging and enhance the spirit of unity among members of society.
The event witnessed the participation of various segments of society, along with representatives of security and service agencies, as participants lined up to raise the UAE flag with a length of up to 1,200 metres, in a national scene that reflects the unity of ranks and community cohesion.
Shatha Al Muhairi, a member of the Ras Al Khaimah Youth Council, stressed that this event represents a national message that reflects the extent to which the people of the Emirates and those residing in its land are attached to their national identity, noting that such initiatives contribute to consolidating the values of loyalty and belonging and enhancing youth participation in national events.
For their part, the people of the Shaam area expressed their pride in hosting this event on their land, stressing that their participation comes as an extension of their societal role and their keenness to support national initiatives that enhance the Emirati identity and establish the values of cohesion among members of society.
The event concluded in a distinctive national atmosphere, amid great interaction from the attendees, who expressed their pride in participating in this event, which embodies the meanings of pride and belonging to the United Arab Emirates.
