Sultan Al Qasimi opens the Sharjah Festival of Nabati poetry in its 19th session

Sharjah, February 3/ WAM/ His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, opened this evening the activities of the 19th session of the Sharjah Poetry Festival, which is organized by the Department of Culture and will continue until February 10 at the Palace of Culture with the participation of 60 poets and poets From different Arab countries.
His Highness and the attendees at the beginning of the opening ceremony watched a visual presentation that dealt with the march of the honored poets in this session, namely the poet Zaal bin Obaid bin Sarhan Al -Ghafli and the poet Awad bin Rashid in the seventeent Nabati poetry in the UAE.
During the presentation, the two poets sang poetic verses, through which they thanked and granted to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for honoring them in the context of His Highness’s interest in the old poets.
The poet Zaal bin Sarhan Al -Ghafli is considered one of the prominent poets of Sharjah, and he had his tangible presence among poets, and the contemporary of the great poets in the Emirates, and participated in many radio and television programs, and depends on his linguistic formulation and the artistic structure of the text on authentic domestic vocabulary, social poetry books, spinning and praise.
The poet Awad bin Rashid is considered the seven of the poets of poets with a rich poetic experience who contributed to preserving the poetic heritage and documentation of important stages in Emirati history, and his poems sang a number of artists and was associated with friendships that brought him together with the leading poets of the state, and participated in many radio and television programs.
The poet Butti Al -Mazloum, Director of the Literary Al -Hirah Council, presented a poem entitled “Sharjah Sultan” on the occasion of the opening of the festival, in which he dealt with efforts and support for His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for Culture in general and for poetry of all kinds in particular until Sharjah became a beacon of culture, saying:
Oh (Sharjah Sultan) Who is equal to you?
And the capital of poetry and pride is a title
Your name is proud of it and the tricks of Naglik
Crown on all capitals and homelands
God loves you with love and love for you
And God increases your generosity (Sultan)
Wears a culture of culture and guides you
The most beautiful hair houses flow Qifan. “
On the first evening of the festival, the poet Sultan bin Khalif Al -Tunaiji sang a poem entitled “The Colonel” in which he dealt with the importance of this traditional color from the arts of poetic creativity with fresh melodies in the cultural heritage of the UAE, through which the poet broadcasts his sorrow and the pain of himself, saying: “
The required color, and I will give it to me
An art that eliminates its promise
The people of poetry see it, they passed it and kept away
And we spinned his scrub
I looked at it and called it a night with a night
We sing on his style and remind him of Bedou
And (Sheikh) has the invitations of those who prostrate
Keep the hair and its relatives, and teach me to my body. “
The poet Abdulaziz bin Sadhan from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also delivered a poem entitled “Sharjah” in which he expressed the great impact of Sharjah in Arab culture, and the support of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for the prosperity of the poetry movement in various Arab countries, saying: “
O godfather of culture, your country has turned over the countries
Here for the knowledge of it and cultural activities
A movement that enlightens minds and sharpens mind
It liberates it from the effects of ignorant and from the darkness
The highest of the souls were built by human being
And I was placed in the fields of fertile sciences
For your purpose, I drawn his line and carried out the plans with mastery
The adults were achieved with all its clubs.
His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah honored the poets Zaal bin Ubaid bin Sarhan Al -Ghafli and Awad bin Rashid in the seven -year -old for the continuous giving that enriched Nabati poetry in the state.
The festival continues its activities and evenings in the coming days, where 9 poetry evenings are held, including a poetry session dedicated to poets from the Arab world, and a symposium discusses the literary march of the honorable poets in this year’s session of the festival.
On February 9 and 10, the festival will move to the cities of Al Dhaid and Kalba in a distinguished distribution of its activities, providing a great opportunity for participants from various Arab countries to learn about the cultural heritage in the cities of the Emirate of Sharjah.
The opening of the festival was attended by Sheikh Salem bin Abdul Rahman Al Qasimi, Head of the Office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Sheikh Muhammad bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Owais, Head of the Culture Department, Dr. Mansour bin Muhammad bin Nassar, Head of the Legal Department of the Sharjah Government, and Muhammad Obaid Al -Zaabi, Head of the Protocol and Hospitality Department, and Dr. Ali Ibrahim Al -Marri, head of the circle of Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi, and a group of officials and poets from the festival’s guests.
