“Hana” regains her eyesight after 30 years with blindness

A Yemeni woman regained her eyesight after her long suffering with the blindness that afflicted her since her childhood, thanks to revolutionary surgery that completely changed her life in a hospital in Abu Dhabi.
The case of Hana Mahdi Saleh Ali is an exceptional 40 -year -old, as she suffered from poor vision throughout her life with the loss of the ability to practice her daily activities naturally, which affected her independence and the quality of her life in general.
Despite her father’s attempts to treat her condition through consultations with hospitals around the world, his efforts were not successful due to the wrong diagnosis, as she diagnosed her condition over the years as a constant loss of consideration due to night blindness and extreme eye lens, while the real problem was in the retina.
Hana’s sister, who lives in the Emirates, decided to encourage her to visit the Murfields Eye Hospital in Abu Dhabi after hearing about the hospital’s use of the latest treatment techniques, as he presented her with the new hope to restore her eyesight.
In October of last year, Hana visited the hospital and conducted a comprehensive examination, which revealed that she had a rare condition known as television atrophy, in addition to the cataracts of the advanced eye lens and the cystic macular thickness.
Hana said of her experience: “I have faced great difficulties in my life because of blindness since I was ten years old,” Hana said. This prevented me from living a normal life like any child, but after hearing advanced treatments in Abu Dhabi, I felt that there was a real opportunity to restore my theory. ”
Dr. Sayed Mohamed Asaad Ali, a hospital ophthalmologist, performed successful surgeries on both Hana’s eyes using modern techniques, which allowed her to restore her eyesight after 30 years of losing.
