The conclusion of the Sharjah International Forum for Biological Diversity Conservation

Sharjah, February 6 / WAM / The Environment and Natural Reserves Authority in Sharjah concluded the 24th session of the Sharjah International Forum for the preservation of biological diversity in the Arabian Peninsula, which was held in the Safari Sharjah during the period from 3 to 6 February, with the participation of experts and researchers from different countries of the world.
The forum dealt with – throughout its four days – reassessing Arab reptiles and threatened species, as well as reviewing scientific research projects for university students with a focus on the importance of preserving biological diversity in the region and the establishment of a regional working group that includes reptilists to develop a comprehensive database and enhance regional cooperation in This regard.
The forum touched on the techniques of preserving the marine environment, including studying ways to respond to the wings of marine life and in conclusion, the best research submitted by university students was honored and the award for best scientific research was awarded to the student Attia Al -Faqih from Al -Baha University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
His Excellency Saif Al -Suwaidi, head of the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority in Sharjah, confirmed the success of the forum in promoting environmental awareness and supporting international and regional cooperation to preserve biological diversity in the Arabian Peninsula.
