Public services in Ras Al Khaimah continue their efforts to deal with the repercussions of the weather condition

Ras Al Khaimah, 26 March / WAM / The Public Services Department continues its intensive efforts to deal with the repercussions of the recent weather condition that the emirate witnessed, to ensure the safety of roads and public facilities and the stability of traffic movement.
The field work included following up on all emergency reports, removing pools of water, sand and rocks, and maintaining minor damage to roads and asphalt, in addition to urgent intervention when needed.
The reports follow-up report indicated that the total number of reports received amounted to 637 reports during the period from March 21 to 26, which included 544 reports of water accumulation, 28 sand accumulations, 22 rock accumulations, 20 reports of collateral damage to roads, 11 damage to asphalt, and 13 miscellaneous reports, and they were dealt with immediately according to emergency priorities to ensure public safety and the smooth flow of traffic.
His Excellency Engineer Khaled Fadl Al Ali, Director General of the Department of Public Services, confirmed that the department works around the clock in coordination with the competent emergency teams to follow up on reports and intervene quickly in the affected sites, while adhering to the highest safety standards to ensure the comfort and safety of the emirate’s residents and visitors.
Al-Ali also indicated the continuation of field efforts and coordination with all concerned parties to overcome the effects of the weather condition and monitor any developments around the clock, while directing equipment according to priority and the needs of sectors with high density to ensure an effective and rapid response.
