The Zayed Sustainability Award opens the door for participation in the 2026 session

The Zayed Sustainability Award, affiliated with the “Zayed Humanitarian Foundation”, which is the leading award launched by the UAE and has positively influenced the lives of 400 million people in the world by supporting innovative solutions that address the global urgent challenges, start receiving applications for its new session for 2026 .

Prize categories

In continuation of its continuous efforts for 17 years in supporting and empowering the next generation of sustainability, the award invites small and medium -sized companies and non -profit institutions and secondary schools, to present their projects within six categories that include: health, food, energy, water, climate work, and international secondary schools.

The award had received 5980 requests from 156 countries in the previous session, which reflects the growth of global commitment to the achievement of sustainable development.

With the start of the application stage for the 2026 session, the award aims to build on this momentum, and seize the opportunity to continue achieving achievements, by linking technological innovation, human creativity and a strategic vision, with the aim of accelerating progress on a global scale.

A purposeful vision

The Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Director General of the Zayed Sustainability Award, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al -Jaber said that “the award continues to implement its mission to consolidate the legacy of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and build on his vision aimed at promoting sustainable and comprehensive humanitarian development and so It is in line with the vision of good leadership. ”

The value of the prizes

The award is offered one million US dollars to every winner of the winners of the institutions of the institutions, while the prize for the global high school category is distributed to six schools representing six international regions, where each winner gets up to up to 150 thousand US dollars to implement or expand its proposed project .

These financial prizes played a tangible role in achieving actual progress and improving living conditions in weak and disadvantaged societies around the world, including expanding access to health care in Southeast Asia, and reducing food lack in South Sahara Africa.

The honoring ceremony

The winners of the latest session of the “Zayed Prize for Sustainability” were honored during the award ceremony held in Abu Dhabi in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, along with 11 heads of state, and many ministers and business leaders, where it was presented The positive impact achieved by each winner, confirming the firm commitment of the UAE to provide a supporting platform for the growth of innovation -based solutions.

Prize conditions

Institutions wishing to participate in the award course for the year 2026 within the health, food, energy, water and climate work categories must prove the tangible impact of their solutions in improving access to basic services in their societies, and that they are able to apply a long -term vision to improve living and economic conditions.

As for the international secondary school category, the proposed projects must be led by students, and to show innovative methods in addressing sustainability challenges.

To encourage a broader group of secondary institutions and schools to participate, the award accepts requests for participation in many languages, including Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish and Portuguese.

An accurate evaluation process

In turn, the participation requests are subject to a precise evaluation process consisting of three stages that begin to study the requests to ensure that they meet the standards of eligibility, which include influence, innovation and inspiring ideas, and accordingly the list of qualified candidates is determined.

In the second stage, the choice committee consisting of independent international experts and specialists in the fields covered by the award categories evaluate qualified projects, and select the brief list of the final candidates, and in the third stage the jury members choose the winners unanimously within the six prize categories.

The winners of the Zayed Sustainability Award will be announced at the award ceremony, which will be held in 2026.
