The Mohammed bin Zayed Water and World Bank initiative signs a memorandum of understanding to address the challenges of global water scarcity

Dubai February 11 / WAM / The Mohammed bin Zayed Water and World Bank initiative today signed a memorandum of understanding to unify efforts to accelerate innovation and investment to address the crisis of global water scarcity and enhance water security around the world, on the sidelines of the Global Summit of Governments 2025.

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Aisha Al -Ateeqi, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Zayed Water Initiative, and Osman Dion, Vice President of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa.
This partnership aims to face serious challenges in the field of water security and enhance innovative solutions to ensure sustainable water management.

The prospects for enhancing cooperation in several major areas such as innovation in the field of water security, increasing the efficiency of water supplies, reusing and sustaining them, financing water scarcity solutions, and enhancing cooperation opportunities with the public and private sectors and international organizations to contribute to directing and supporting innovative solutions to address and testing water security challenges and testing them And its development.
