Kenya offers promising opportunities for Saudi investors in the port of Lamu

Kenyun officials have called on Saudi investors to invest the new port of Lamo in Kenya, which the Kenyan government is working to implement.
This came during meetings conducted by a delegation today, Tuesday, in the Kenyan capital, as part of a visit aimed at exploring investment opportunities and holding commercial partnerships.

Promise opportunities for Saudi investors

During his meeting with the Saudi delegation, Kenyan Investment Minister Lee Kniangoy emphasized the existence of promising opportunities for Saudi investors in Kenya, with sectors such as agriculture, livestock and ports.
The head of the Saudi Chambers Union, Hassan Al -Huwaizi, said that it was agreed to allocate a free zone in Kenya for Saudi exports to East Africa, import Kenyan meat to the Kingdom, and set a mechanism to support economic relations by exchanging information on investment opportunities, and marketing Saudi products in the Kenyan market.

Kenny week in Riyadh and Jeddah

The Secretary -General of the Saudi Chambers Union, Walid Al -Arainan, said that the new port in Kenya represents an opportunity for Saudi investors to invest in infrastructure and operate free economic areas.
The Kingdom’s ambassador to Kenya, Khaled Al -Salman, announced the launch of a Kenyan week in Riyadh and Jeddah next April, with the participation of 120 Kenyan companies.
It is noteworthy that the Kenyan government is currently intensifying its efforts to accelerate the completion of the infrastructure of the Lamu Port Project, by creating a overflow, a charging arena, operational equipment, a workshop in the port, warehouses, office spaces, and accommodation facilities.
