Asaad Al -Shaibani reviews with Syrian businessmen the new future of Syria and its economic and developmental priorities
Dubai, February 12/ WAM/ His Excellency Asaad Al -Shaibani, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian Transitional Government, met a number of Syrian businessmen in a round table that discussed investment in Syria and its economic future, during the work of the global summit of governments that started yesterday in Dubai, and will continue until February 13th. Under the slogan “foresight of the future governments”.
The meeting, which was attended by a group of Syrian businessmen in various fields, dealt with the economic march for Syria, development priorities and the next trend of Syria, and the encouragement of investment in Syria was discussed, as part of the efforts made to rebuild the country.
The meeting touched on some of the files of the Syrian Arab Republic, such as health, media, security, and others, in addition to the country’s need for the experiences of its cadres present in various parts of the world.
His Excellency expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s fixed position in supporting Syria’s stability and sovereignty over its entire lands and its standing alongside the Syrian people to meet their aspirations in security and development.
His Excellency praised the vital role of the global government summit in enhancing international cooperation and exchanging experiences between governments to face global challenges.
His Excellency Asaad Al -Shaibani will also participate in a session entitled “A Dialogue with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Syria”, within the second day of the World Government Summit.
It is noteworthy that the World Summit of Governments 2025, is witnessing a standard international participation by hosting more than 30 heads of state and government, 140 government delegations and more than 80 international and regional organizations, and includes 21 global forums looking at major global future trends and transformations in more than 200 dialogue and interactive sessions, in which he speaks more than 300 international personalities from the presidents, ministers, experts, thinkers and decision makers, in addition to holding more than 30 round tables and ministerial meeting, with the participation of more than 400 ministers, while the summit issues 30 strategic reports in cooperation with international knowledge partners.
