Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center opens the door for candidacy for a prize "Gold narration"

Abu Dhabi, February 12 / WAM / The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center announced the opening of the candidacy for the third session of the “Gold List” award, which was launched to honor the narrators of the popular and popular milestones, enrich the arts of narration, and revive the art of the folk tale and its narration in the new generations locally and in Arabic, that Registration continues until May 31, 2025.

Since its inception in 2023, the award has achieved continuous growth; In its previous version, it received 1213 nomination for its six branches from 34 countries, including 19 Arabs, with a growth rate of 23 % in the volume of posts, compared to the first version that received 983 posts.

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Tamim, President of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, expected that the third session of the award would receive a wide turn to participate, after it became an attractive platform for the pioneers of folklore, visual, and sins, and a meeting of the owners of this art and its lovers, despite its modernity.

He affirmed the center’s interest in consolidating the status of the award, which draws its name from the thought and poems of the founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, through the sustainable development of the award standards, lighting on its outputs, and celebrating the winners and honoring them, calling on creators and researchers to provide their nominations during the specified period to ensure participation In this global literary and cultural demonstration.

He said that the award is one of the most prominent initiatives of the center that embodies the keenness on cultural and cognitive diversity, and interest in encouraging various types of creativity and research in culture and heritage, represented in the arts of narration, short story, story and other types of creativity capable of evoking heritage and integrating it in the living memory of society And enhancing its presence in the hearts of generations to reflect the distinctive Emirati and Arab cultural identity, which meets the goals of the center, and the role of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in promoting civilized communication between generations, and reviving and enhancing the position of the Arabic language is a language of art, science, and knowledge.

Through its six branches, the award aims to honor the narrators of the traffic and the popular milestones, and to support the narrative arts that highlight the Emirati and Arab heritage in creative ways.

The standards of candidacy include that the works submitted are written in the Arabic language, with the exception of the “Emirati narrative” branch, which receives the works in other languages, and the participant also allows to apply only one work for each session, provided that the work is not a winner of another prize in the same year, and the previous works can be re -nominated yet Fear the specific conditions.

The award receives nominations in all its branches, individuals, cultural institutions, and academy, while the nomination of the “Emirati narrative” branch is made through academic, research and cultural institutions and from the Supreme Committee of the award, and the award is not awarded for a work that has previously won a major Arab or foreign prize, with the need to adhere to the conditions Mentioned in the “candidacy form” in each branch, and the prize can be re -nominated with the same work with the necessity of fulfilling the requirement for the period of time, and submitting a request for that.

The prize passes through many stages to choose the nominations lists, and then choose the winners and honor them, based on the criteria for competent and fair governance, and under the supervision of specialized committees, and the total value of the prizes provided for the winners annually is two million dirhams.
