The Ministry of Health and Community Protection stated that the number of health facilities approved in the country in the field of integrated medicine reached 180 facilities, in addition to more than 2100 specialized practitioners, and 310 technicians in this field.

The Ministry explained to “Emirates Today” that complementary medicine has been combined with traditional medicine under the name of “fusion medicine”, with the aim of achieving comprehensive integration between traditional treatments and supplementary practices, which enhances health care provided to patients through the treatment of the body, mind and spirit in addition to treating pathological symptoms according to Modern medical foundations.

In detail, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Health Organization Sector at the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, Dr. Amin Hussein Al -Amiri, said that traditional medicine is deeply rooted in the history of the Emirates, as it started a long time ago with herbal medicine and other traditional therapeutic practices, and although the UAE is one of the most universal openness countries , Where nearly 200 nationalities live in peace, with their traditional medical practices, but the need emerged to formally organize this field, so the “Zayed Herbal Center” was established the first traditional and supplementary medicine center in the country and the region in 1989, and then this was enjoyed The system with strong government support, which led to the integration of integrative medicine into the modern medical system in the state.

He added to “Emirates Today” on the sidelines of the “World Health Forum” within the agenda of the last day of the World Summit on Governments held in Dubai, that the number of integrated medicine practitioners in the country has reached more than 2100 practitioners, and more than 310 technicians in this specialization, in addition to 180 establishments Approved healthy health in the field of complementary medicine, which has been combined with traditional medicine at the state level to achieve human welfare and improve the quality of life and comprehensive health care.

Regarding the employment of artificial intelligence in health care, Al -Amiri explained that artificial intelligence will be a major supporter of fusion medicine, noting that artificial intelligence techniques have already been used years ago, and will play an increasing role in the future of treatments in general, especially in the field of fusion medicine.
