Family a portfolio to receive building materials shipments

The Arab Company for the Building and Repair of Ships (family) has allocated one of its ports to receive and handle building materials with large loads that contribute to enhancing their sustainability, especially in light of the increasing demand for it. This is in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Works, the Ministry of Communications and Communications, in addition to national construction companies in a step that reflects the partnership between the various community institutions and the continuous support of the esteemed government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for the Contracting and Construction Sector.

This initiative came with the aim of providing practical and sustainable solutions to ensure the flow and abundance of basic construction materials without interruption, which enhances the stability of construction projects and infrastructure development projects in the Kingdom, as well as accelerating the pace of implementation of development projects.

The relevant authorities announced earlier the arrival of the first ship loaded with more than 27 thousand tons of building materials as the first partnership between the public and private sectors, as part of a plan to import 250 thousand tons in the coming months.

For his part, the CEO of the family company, Dr. Ahmed Al -Abri, said: “This initiative confirms the company’s keenness to support all national institutions operating in the private sector, especially the construction and construction sectors to contribute to strengthening local supply chains. To cooperate with national institutions and facilitate import, storage and distribution, in order to achieve added value for building materials companies and enhance the sustainability of the construction sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
