The start of the Emirati Medical Education Conference 2025 in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, February 16 / WAM / launched yesterday, at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Abu Dhabi, the UAE Conference on Medical Education 2025, organized by the National Institute for Health Specialties, in cooperation with training health bodies and institutions, and with the participation of more than 600 specialists from the health sector.
The opening ceremony witnessed a number of senior officials of the state’s health authorities and institutions, as well as representatives of the American Higher Medical Accreditation Council, the Arab Council for Health Specializations, and the Saudi Authority for Health Specialties.
The conference comes within the framework of efforts to enhance medical education and professional development, and aims to provide a specialized scientific platform to discuss the latest developments in the field of health education, exchange experiences between specialists, and support research and innovation in this vital sector.
The event also witnesses the participation of a group of members of the specialized committees at the National Institute for Health Specialties, the managers of training programs, faculty members, trainees, leaders and officials of health authorities and institutions.
The conference’s agenda includes four main sessions and discussion with the participation of 20 prominent speakers, in which the most prominent developments in the field of medical education are reviewed, in addition to 10 specialized workshops aimed at developing skills and enhancing best practices in specialized training and evaluation.
The conference also witnesses a review of 43 research papers that vary between presentations and scientific posters, allowing participants to see the latest research and practices in the health sector.
Dr. Muhammad Al -Haqani, Secretary -General of the National Institute for Health Specialties, said that the conference reflects the commitment of the institute to develop medical education in the country by updating curricula, improving evaluation systems, and strengthening regional and international partnerships, which contribute to raising the level of national competencies in various medical specialties.
He added that the conference is witnessing extensive discussions on the role of artificial intelligence in medical education, where the latest technological applications in medical training, evaluation and improvement of clinical skills will be reviewed, in addition to highlighting the importance of academic accreditation and quality guarantee, ensuring the highest standards in residence and medical fellowship programs.
Dr. Al -Haqani pointed out that the Emirati Medical Education Conference has become a major platform for exchanging experiences, promoting scientific research, and supporting innovation in training programs, which contributes to the development of the medical education and health care system in the UAE and the region. He also stressed that this event strengthens the state’s position as a regional center for excellence in medical education and health training, expressing his aspiration that the conference achieves its desired goals by creating an educational environment in support of medical cadres, and enhancing the best practices that contribute to providing the highest levels of health care.
