The Japanese economy grows by 2.8% during the last quarter of 2024

Tokyo on February 17/ WAM/ The Japanese economy grew by 2.8% annually during the period from October to December 2024, recording the third consecutive quarter of growth supported by the strong spending of companies, according to government data issued today “Monday”.

The real GDP in Japan – which is modified according to inflation and shows the total value of goods and services produced in a country – during 2024 by 0.1%, recording the fourth annual gain in a row.

The nominal GDP – which shows the size of the economy at current prices – exceeded 600 trillion yen “4 trillion dollars” the first time on the basis of the evaluation year, according to the Japanese Cabinet Office.

On a quarterly basis, the real GDP increased 0.7% from the previous quarter from July to September 2024.
