"IDEX 2025"Lockheed Martin stresses the importance of artificial intelligence in enhancing security

Abu Dhabi, February 21/ WAM/ John Nicholson, CEO of Lockheed Martin in the Middle East and the first retired team in the American army, confirmed that artificial intelligence technology reshapes the features of modern wars, and affects all aspects of military operations, starting from the front lines to operations Logistics.
He pointed to the ability of artificial intelligence to absorb the surrounding environment, analyze possible scenarios, and evaluate risk, which enhances operational capabilities in various fields.
He stressed that artificial intelligence contributes to increasing the efficiency of human resources exploitation, especially in the areas of intelligence, where it can collect and analyze data at great speed, which reduces the need for large difference from analysts.
He explained that artificial intelligence achieves qualitative leaps in operational efficiency, especially in the areas of predictive maintenance and logistics, and this contributes to improving performance and reducing unexpected faults.
He said that artificial intelligence represents an essential pillar in the reshaping of leadership and control systems, as this technology can link the sensors, arms systems and potential targets, providing leaders with a comprehensive and accurate vision of all threats and military assets.
He added that the battlefield is a complex environment shrouded in mistakes and miscalculation, but artificial intelligence contributes to providing leaders with accurate information, which reduces the chances of conflicts by enabling the parties to obtain a clear vision of the strategic position.
He highlighted the importance of investing in the human element, where Lockheed Martin works in cooperation with the Center for Innovation and Security Studies to train new graduates, giving them in -depth knowledge of artificial intelligence techniques and its applications in multiple fields.
He stressed that artificial intelligence has become an integral part of all Lockheed Martin programs, noting the company’s success in operating the “F-16” and Black Hawk helicopter completely, without the need for human intervention.
As part of the activities of the “IDEX” and “Navorx 2025” exhibitions, Nicholson touched on the meetings conducted by the company with the international partners, during which the role of artificial intelligence was addressed in enhancing security and reviewing the latest technologies developed in partnership with the Emirates.
He expressed the pride of the company “Lockheed Martin”, the largest military industry company in the world, with its presence in the Emirates for 50 years, pointing to the company’s aspirations to continue this strategic partnership for years to come.
