The start of the 4th session of the Arab Parliament for the Children in Sharjah

Sharjah, February 22/ WAM/ The work of the opening session of the fourth session of the Arab Parliament for the Children was launched in Sharjah, the fourth session of the Arab Parliament for the Child, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah and follow -up to His Excellency Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary -General of the League of Arab States, in the presence of members of Parliament from 14 Arab country.

He attended the session – which was held at the headquarters of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah in the city of Sharjah – His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al -Nuaimi, Chairman of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, His Excellency Ambassador Lubna Mamdouh Azzam, Director of the Children’s Administration at the League of Arab States, His Excellency Halima Al Owais, Vice -President of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, a number of members of the Council and happiness Ahmed Saeed Al -Jarwan, Secretary -General of the Consultative Council and the managers of the Foundation for the Quarter of the Leadership Industry And innovators and a number of officials.

Member Aws Mohsen of the Republic of Iraq said in his speech during the opening session that it is from Sharjah the friendly city of children and from the headquarters of the Parliament of Arab Children and their parliamentary. We pledge to the fourth session to be the voice of children for children. And laws and norms.

After the opening session ended, the first session of the first session, which was chaired by Amira Tariq Al -Aibs from Libya, began to hold the elections for the position of Parliament and his deputies.

Ayman Othman Al -Barrout, Secretary -General of the Arab Parliament for the Child, stated that during this session, the Committee of the Rights of the Child and the Activities Committee was formed, provided that the members of each committee will meet later to elect a chairman and deputy for each committee, so that the membership of the Parliament’s Committee, which consists of the President and his deputies, in addition to the Chairman of the Child Rights Committee and the Chairman Activities Committee.

He added that he consolidated the election practice and building parliamentary culture on a solid basis. In this session, an electoral campaign was allocated to the candidates, as part of the events programs that precede the official session with the aim of encouraging parliamentarians to express their opinions in representing their children’s peers as well as empowerment through training packages, foremost of which is the diploma of parliament Arab for the child to prepare parliamentary leaders.

The results of the elections resulted in the Al -Mu’addi from the Sultanate of Oman, headed by Parliament, and the election of two vice -presidents, and won the position of First Deputy Abdullah Youssef Bojiri from the Kingdom of Bahrain and won the position of second deputy, Mai Jalal Abdulaziz from the State of Palestine.

While the president and decision of the Committee of the Rights of the Child, Rabia Abu Rumman, was elected from Jordan as Chairman and Aws Mohsen from Iraq as Deputy and Activities Committee, Nasser Al -Husseini from the Sultanate of Oman, as president and supporters from Iraq as a deputy.

Parliament is scheduled to hold its next session next July in Sharjah to discuss one of the important topics that will be included on its agenda.
