The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has adopted the requirements of propaganda and advertising panels, which aim to organize the external advertising sector in a way that balances the aesthetic requirements of cities, preserving public safety, and promoting compliance with accredited municipal regulations.
The new requirements include a set of criteria and controls that regulate the design and installation of advertising paintings in various locations, whether on buildings, sidewalks, or public roads.
The requirements focus on achieving optical harmony with the urban environment, while ensuring that the panels do not affect traffic safety or cause visual pollution.

Ministry requirements

The Ministry clarified that the most prominent requirements for advertising paintings relate to design, sites and sizes appropriate to the paintings, in a manner that ensures adherence to the specified sizes and not exceeding the permissible limits in public places, ensuring clarity and ease of reading, taking into account the consistency of colors and lines used.
The Ministry also stipulated that not to block vision or influence traffic safety, especially in the streets and vital intersections, and restrict advertising content so that it does not contradict the religious and cultural values ​​of the Kingdom.

Lighting and lighting

She emphasized the achievement of lighting and lighting requirements so that it does not affect drivers or constitute an inconvenience to the population, and to determine the locations of the paintings according to a deliberate planning, preventing randomness and achieve the optimal use of advertising spaces.
The Ministry ranked propaganda and advertising paintings, as 5 types represented in advertising and advertising panels on buildings or sides of roads, streets and land lands, bridges and tunnels, street equipment and public squares, or special nature panels such as taxis on taxis, trucks, or shop facades.

Safety requirements

The Ministry stressed the general safety requirements, which include the formation of propaganda panels and all the materials involved in their manufacture of fire resistance, according to the requirements of the Saudi code for fire protection «SBC801», regarding firefighting requirements.
She emphasized that all the paintings are in the industrial and commercial areas and inside the fuel stations of non -flammable materials to use the resistance materials for the effect of direct sunlight.
Safety requirements also stipulated the application of professional safety foundations in all implementation work in a manner that ensures that there are no injuries such as: saving scaffolding, stairs, and ensuring adherence to safety means such as: helmets and protective shoes.

Clear mechanisms

The Ministry has set clear mechanisms to implement and monitor the commitment to these requirements, as sanctions will be imposed on violators, ranging from financial fines and the removal of violating ads, to ensure full commitment to the approved regulations.
Digital censorship will also be activated through smart systems to follow up ads in cities, and to ensure their compatibility with the new requirements.
