Honoring the winners of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence in its third session tomorrow

Abu Dhabi, February 24 / WAM / The Supreme Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award announced the honoring of the award winners in its third session during a ceremony held tomorrow in Abu Dhabi and in the presence of a number of senior officials and main partners who contributed to supporting the award.
The ceremony honors farmers and livestock breeders, commercial farmers, winners of various major and subsidiary groups, in addition to honoring supportive partners, as this honor reflects the importance of cooperation between the various concerned authorities to enhance and develop the agricultural sector in the United Arab Emirates and ensure its sustainability for future generations.
The organizing committee confirmed that the third edition of the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award, which is held under the slogan “farm and educator innovative with a sustainable vision”, has witnessed since the opening of registration on September 11th, a great demand from farmers and livestock breeders to participate in the various categories of the award, The total number of participants in this year’s session is 451 participants in its various categories, which were distributed in four main categories of 13 Sub -category.
She explained that the specialized committees recently ended the arbitration, evaluation and field visits to choose the final candidates, according to the criteria and conditions of the award, and the value of prizes allocated to the winners is 10 million dirhams, distributed over the main and subsidiary groups and accompanying competitions.
It is awarded 5.3 million dirhams for the winners of the main categories, which includes the award for best farm and an estate, which branches into “the best exposed farm, the best farm farm in protected homes, the best fruit production farm, the best organic farm, in addition to the productive single, small producers, and educators Bees, aquaculture breeders “then the Commercial Farms Award, which includes” farms Commercial plant and commercial animal production farms “then the Agricultural Innovation Award, which honors innovations in the plant and animal sectors and finally the outstanding and educated prize, which includes two sub -awards for” the best distinguished farm and the best distinguished animal wealth and to motivate and empower women in the agricultural sector.
Awards of 4.4 million dirhams are also presented to more than 400 winners in the accompanying competitions, which were held within the award pavilion at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Etihad, and included five specialized festivals: “Al Wathba Agricultural Festival, Al Wathba Food Festival, Al Wathba Festival for Livestock, and Al Wathba Honey Festival, The Al -Wathba Festival for Flowers “, 87 competitions and seven animal auctions.

The Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award was attracted in its first and second sessions 676 participants from the various emirates of the country, and 107 farmers and educators won animal wealth, and the total value of the prizes offered was 16.7 million dirhams, which reflects the great demand for the award and its pivotal role in stimulating agricultural excellence In the state.
The Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Award for Agricultural Excellence is one of the leading initiatives aimed at motivating farmers and livestock breeders to adopt modern technologies and implement sustainable practices, which contributes to the development of the local agricultural sector and achieve the goals of the national food security strategy 2051.
