Ajman Finance organizes a workshop on… "Preparing government plans and budgets"

Ajman, April 21 / WAM / The Department of Finance in Ajman organized a workshop entitled “Financial Circular and Procedures for Preparing the Financial Plan and the General Budget” targeting officials responsible for preparing budgets, human resources, project management and technical requirements at the level of government agencies in the emirate.

This workshop was held as part of the department’s efforts to develop the government financial work system and enhance the efficiency of planning and preparation of financial plans, in line with its vision aimed at achieving a pioneering model for a sustainable financial environment. It aimed to enable government financial cadres to formulate proactive plans consistent with the ambitious vision of Ajman, ensuring the optimal use of resources and consolidating the foundations of long-term financial sustainability.

Within an integrated vision that reflected the depth of government experience in the Emirate of Ajman, the workshop focused on three main axes, which included the axis of “Budgeting Programs and Performance,” as it is the cornerstone of financial resources management and the established approach that the emirate has followed for about 17 years, which reflects the maturity of the institutional approach and its ability to achieve efficiency and link budgets to strategic objectives.

Within the framework of the sustainable development theme, the workshop discussed the process of qualitative updates that this system has witnessed since its launch in 2009, emphasizing its high flexibility and effective response to global economic changes.

The axis of empowering cadres focused on transferring cumulative knowledge and practical experiences to specialists, thus enhancing the building of national capabilities capable of producing accurate and professional financial outputs that support the sustainability of government financial performance.

The workshop included practical training on the “Sustainability” system to enable government agencies to enter their data and follow up on the preparation of budgets with high efficiency, with the aim of enhancing the accuracy of financial outputs and the quality of planning.

In this context, His Excellency Marwan Ahmed Al Ali, Director General of the Department of Finance in Ajman, confirmed that organizing this workshop is consistent with the department’s mission of managing financial capabilities and resources according to an innovative and reliable model based on participatory and flexibility to achieve financial sustainability and enhance the quality of life in Ajman, by establishing a culture of sustainable financial planning, developing financial human capital and providing it with modern knowledge and tools that will ensure the preparation of accurate and realistic plans in accordance with the best international practices adopted in the field, and improving the quality of financial decision-making at the level of entities. Governmental.

This workshop comes within a series of training programs and initiatives implemented by the Department of Finance in Ajman throughout the year with the aim of establishing best financial practices and developing the government financial work system in a way that contributes to achieving the goals of Ajman Vision 2030 and the future aspirations of the emirate.
