Dr. Tony Dong, the main representative of the China International Businessmen, told the Emirates News Agency “WAM” on the sidelines of his participation in the “Investopia 2025” summit held in Abu Dhabi, about the existence of ambitious plans to enhance investment cooperation between the UAE and China, including the establishment of a major international electronic trade park in Abu Dhabi by the year 2025, while huge investment projects are being implemented between the two countries, most notably The electric car industry project worth $ 2 billion, which is witnessing a remarkable expansion in Abu Dhabi, with plans to transfer part of the manufacturing operations to the emirate.
He explained that a huge investment is also underway in the Abu Dhabi market in bulk, and the establishment of a factory specialized in the components of the construction of buildings with an expected investment of up to 10 billion Chinese yuan, which makes it one of the largest projects in the region.
He said that the participation of Chinese businessmen in the “Intensopia” summit provides them with a qualitative environment to communicate with global markets, and to identify the advanced investment environment in the Emirates, especially in Abu Dhabi, stressing the importance of the Emirati market, which resulted in the organization of the Chinese and Arab business leaders’ summit In the UAE for the third time in a row, which reflects the strategic importance of the Emirates for Chinese investors.
Dong stressed that the Chinese delegation brings together more than 120 Chinese CEOs from the financial services sectors, the new economy, and manufacturing, as well as a number of major investors and investment funds, such as CICC, the Chinese International Structural Fund, and some local government funds, to discuss cooperation opportunities with Family companies in the Emirates and the government to enhance joint investments.
