المملكة: Awareness and guidance .. “Adham environment” that enhances the protection of farmers from animal diseases

Within the framework of the efforts of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in spreading veterinary awareness, and promoting environmental health security in the Kingdom, in line with the targets of Vision 2030, the Office of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Aham Governorate organized a guiding workshop entitled “Common diseases between humans and animals”, with the aim of educating farmers and livestock brewers about the seriousness of these diseases and methods of prevention.
Where this workshop was presented by Dr. Atef Mahmoud, Head of the Livestock Department of the office, and he reviewed the most prominent common diseases, such as Maltese fever, tuberculosis (tuberculosis), rabies, salmonella, Brucela and rabies virus.

Transmission

It also dealt with the workshop on some viral diseases such as bird flu and Ebola, and how the infection between humans and animals is transmitted.
In order to pay attention to preventive measures, citizens and livestock educators were urged to take the necessary health measures, especially when dealing with meat and animal products, to avoid infection with these diseases, and to emphasize the importance of reviewing the competent authorities when observing any symptoms of animals.

For his part, the director of the Adham Environment Office, Mr. Abdul Rahman Ragab Al -Maliki, stressed the importance of immediate reporting of any suspicious symptoms, to ensure the speed of veterinary medical intervention and reduce the spread of diseases, in order to preserve the safety of humans and animals.
