Dr. Omar Al -Dari confirmed that the choice of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the personality of the Emirates Award for the Holy Qur’an came based on the achievements of witnesses and historical fingerprints in serving the Holy Quran at all levels.

He said that the launch of the “Emirates International Holy Qur’an Award”, with the support and care of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, reflects those wise visions of His Highness in expanding the manifestations of caring for the Book of God, and creating the means that motivate all members of society to preserve and recite, and positive competition in this field, as a continuation of the path of the founding leader, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan May God rest his soul, who laid the first building block for the Holy Quran Memorization Centers at the state level.

Dr. Al -Darai explained that this award at its beginning includes three main branches, the first “the first place award in the Holy Quran”, and it includes initial and final qualifications according to accurate criteria, where this year is honored 10 male and female contestants, who won the first positions in international competitions, while the second branch “The first place prize in the Holy Quran”, focuses on national talents in all emirates of the state, where it includes eight branches that have been completed All its stages, and resulted in the victory of 86 participants at the state level in the 2024 session, and the third branch is the “First International Award for the Holy Quran and the honor of a global Quranic figure”, and in this branch a prominent Quranic figure or a distinguished Quranic institution is honored.
