30.87% inflation rate in Türkiye during March

Istanbul, April 4, 2017 – The consumer price inflation rate in Turkey fell to 30.87% in March, compared to 31.53% in February, and the expected inflation rate was 31.4%.

Data from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed that the annual growth rate of food and non-alcoholic beverage prices fell to 32.36%, compared to 36.44%. The housing sector-based inflation rate also declined to 42.06% compared to 42.33%.

Meanwhile, transportation prices rose at a faster pace, reaching 34.35%.
