Syria: The United Nations expresses concern about the danger of fueling tensions and condemns all violence

At the press conference today at the United Nations headquarters in New York on Friday, UN spokesman Stephen Dujarric said that the Secretary -General strongly condemns all violence in Syria, calling on the parties to protect civilians and stop hostilities.
He added that “The Secretary -General is concerned about the danger of escalating tensions between societies in Syria at a time when reconciliation and peaceful political transition should be at the top of the priorities after 14 years of conflict. The Syrians deserve sustainable peace, prosperity and justice.”.
