The associate professor at Al -Qassim University, Suleiman Youssef Khater, spoke of the Sudanese nationality, about the Ramadan atmosphere he lives in the Kingdom, noting that it is a wonderful and beautiful spiritual atmosphere, especially in this year in which Ramadan coincided with the winter season, where time passes quickly between the house and the mosque and work.
Ramadan meals
He said: I have been established in Al -Qassim 14 years ago, and the majority of our Ramadan customs in Sudan are not very different from the Kingdom, where the people of Sudan in Ramadan are keen to collectively break the way abroad in front of homes and public roads, and in the Kingdom we do not need many preparations to receive Ramadan except psychological and spiritual preparation by sensing the great guest’s greatness, as everything and can be purchased at any time, except for the preparation of some Sudanese food and drinks Its requirements in the second half of Shaban at least.
He explained that one of the most important Ramadan meals is “porridge”, which is an essential and necessary food for the Sudanese Ramadan table throughout the month of Ramadan, and the “Hallomer” drink, and it was called (from sweetness and bitterness) because it tastes a mixture of two tastes together, and the drink of the seas (the dumbbelli plant) and the Karakdi drink.


The land of the qiblah and the Two Holy Mosques
He added that social activity in Sudanese society is increasing during Ramadan, through communication and blessing by entering the month, starting with parents, family members, then knowledge, colleagues, friends and neighbors, as well as family visits after Tarawih prayers and collective breakfast tables.
Dr. Khater expressed his beautiful and deep feeling of his presence in the Kingdom of the land of the qiblah and the Two Holy Mosques, describing it as a great matter for him, and that every Muslim yearns and is keen to come to it to perform Umrah and the Hajj pilgrimage with ease and ease in light of the Kingdom’s efforts in serving Islam and Muslims, and he said: Mosques, breakfast works, and Ramadan meals distribution.
Spirituality of Ramadan
A professor of energy physics at the Faculty of Science at the University of Al -Qassim, Mohamed Hussein Daw, of Tunisian nationality, also spoke about the spirituality of the month of Ramadan and the opportunity between his gifts to repent and renew faith and draw closer to God Almighty in the interest of deeds.
He said: “I spent about 10 years in the Kingdom, and I feel a deep spiritual association with a place prepared by Muslims in the face of the earth, especially when I visit Makkah and Medina, and daily life during the holy month is characterized by a beautiful nature and an atmosphere full of spirituality and community brotherhood, where the streets, homes and public places are adorned with lighting and adornment, and the rapprochement between families and friends through the pools of breakfast And cooperation in preparing and preparing foods such as Ramadan sweets such as: Qatayef and Konafa.
