"Civil aviation" The second phase of the platform is launched "Fox"

Abu Dhabi, 19 January / WAM / The General Civil Aviation Authority announced the launch of the direct display and follow-up platform within the “Focus” system, which is the central unified system for aviation operations, in the second phase of the project, following the launch of the website, as part of efforts to develop an integrated digital platform that contributes to simplifying and facilitating aircraft operators’ communication with airports within the UAE.

According to a press release issued today, the platform provides a unified electronic environment that enhances the smoothness of procedures and supports operational integration between the Authority and airports in the country, which reflects positively on the efficiency of operations and speed of coordination.

The development of the platform comes within the framework of the Authority’s efforts to enhance the digital transformation of operations, raise the efficiency of services, and enhance integration between government agencies and the private sector, in addition to supporting the country’s trend towards promoting open data and facilitating procedures.

The platform represents the focus of development at this stage, as it provides advanced digital tools that contribute to improving the joint work experience between various parties, and enabling a unified operational vision that enhances the speed of decision-making and smooth coordination of operations between the country’s airports.

Engineer Aqeel Ahmed Al Zarouni, Assistant Director General of the Aviation Safety Affairs Sector, said that the “Focus” platform represents a qualitative leap in the mechanisms of joint work within the aviation community, stressing that the platform contributes to simplifying operations between airports, improving the flow of data, and accelerating the services provided to aircraft operators.

He pointed out that the second phase of the project has been completed successfully, and that the next phases will include more advanced digital features, in addition to expanding the scope of integration with partners, in line with the Authority’s vision of building a smart and interconnected aviation system.

Last September, the General Civil Aviation Authority launched the first phase of the central unified system for aviation operations, “Focus,” which is an innovative digital platform that aims to simplify and facilitate the communication mechanism for aircraft operators, both local and foreign, with the relevant authorities in the aviation sector within the UAE.

The system provides a unified portal for obtaining operational approvals for the country’s airports, by providing the necessary information and providing direct links with the main relevant authorities, through one website.
