Italy .. Wholesale prices continue to rise for the fourth month in a row

Wholesale prices in Italy continued to rise for the fourth month in a row, according to the data of the Italian Statistical Office “Acetat” issued today, Monday.
The Statistical Office stated that the wholesale price index increased during last January by 1.6% per month, compared to its increase by 0.6% during the previous December.

High prices

The increase in the index came as a result of the increase in energy prices by 5% and capitalism by 0.5% for each category, while the prices of intermediate goods increased by 0.1%.
Wholesale prices increased by 2%, while it increased in the external market of Italian goods by 0.4%.
On an annual basis, wholesale prices in Italy increased during January by 4.4% compared to 1.1% in the previous month, to record the highest annual increase rate since it recorded 9.6% in February 2022.
