Abu Dhabi, March 12 / WAM / The Community Contributions Authority – together the official government channel in Abu Dhabi to receive social contributions, issued a report to allocate societal contributions for 2024, which reviews the impact of the various social projects supported by the authority and its role in advancing social development in Abu Dhabi.
“Together” succeeded during the past year in supporting and financing a number of major social partners, to contribute to the launch of 51 influential projects in the sectors of social affairs, health, education, the environment and infrastructure, with the aim of addressing social priorities in Abu Dhabi. These projects are supervised by a variety of partners, including the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, Mubadala Foundation, Municipal and Transport Department, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Al Nour Center, and others.
His Excellency Abdullah Al -Amiri, Director General of the Community Contributions Authority, said that the annual increase in societal contributions coincided with the general community in the UAE, which confirms the commitment of the authority to build a joint community that supports its members.
For his part, His Excellency Faisal Al -Hamoudi, Executive Director of the Social Investment Fund sector in “Ma’an”, said that the authority is committed to making contributions towards the social projects led by its partners in the various sectors; To enhance societal development and build a combined, effective and comprehensive society.
He affirmed the authority’s keenness to build strategic partnerships in the main sectors, to expand and impact social projects with the aim of making a positive change and achieving the best long -term advantages for society, by enhancing the values of shared responsibility and societal giving among members of society.
Community contributions were allocated with a total value of 98.6 million dirhams in multiple sectors, from which various societal groups have benefited from the owners of determination, the elderly, orphans, students, patients, and others, and a large part of these contributions to the health sector, including 36.8 million dirhams, was devoted to support 9 projects for community health services.
The social sector obtained 33.6 million dirhams distributed over 26 projects aimed at addressing societal priorities, including enabling community groups in Abu Dhabi to become active elements in society, and an amount of 20 million dirhams was directed to the education sector; Distributed to eight projects launched with the aim of providing high -quality education and enhancing learning opportunities.
The “Ma’an” Authority also allocated an amount of 8.2 million dirhams for the environment and infrastructure sector, to finance eight projects aimed at promoting sustainable development, preserving the environment, and improving infrastructure.
Through the ATMs, the “ADPAY” application, the first Abu Dhabi Bank platform, the Botim Program and the contribution devices, the authority managed to collect contributions of 2.7 million dirhams, which were distributed to 4 different projects, which no longer beneficial to multiple societal groups.
The “Together” body works as a link between governmental and private agencies and social and non -profit institutions, with the aim of collecting contributions and directing them towards initiatives led by partners, to support social projects and programs that address the main societal priorities and achieve a direct impact on society.
The authority also works with partners in the private sector by linking social responsibility initiatives to companies to social priorities in the emirate, and is committed to consolidating the culture of giving by activating the participation of community members in supporting social projects, which in turn benefit the community.
