Opening an exhibition "Mother of the Emirates" New York on the sidelines of the Women’s Settlement Committee (CSW)

New York, December 12/ WAM/ The United Arab Emirates, represented by the Ministry of Interior, organized an exhibition called “Mother of the Emirates -” at the United Nations headquarters in the United Nations in New York in conjunction with the meeting of the Women’s Development Committee (CSW) currently held and will continue until March 21.
The exhibition comes in honor of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak (Mother of the Emirates), President of the General Women’s Federation, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation, and provides part of the initiatives and projects of the advancement of Emirati women and their empowerment according to the vision, support and follow -up of their Highness with the symbol of women around the world, through initiatives whose influence exceeds each field and affects the spirit of humanity.
The event aims to shed light on the vision of “Mother of the Emirates” in various developmental fields, including the economy, business, education, politics, women’s empowerment, family, culture, and sports, in addition to highlighting the distinguished achievements of Emirati women, and success stories that inspired generations locally and globally.
The “first of its kind” exhibition is a unique opportunity to review the pioneering role of Emirati women in the international community, and in honor of the efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Umm Al Emirates” in supporting and empowering women and family at all levels.
The exhibition witnesses the participation of a group of prominent personalities, decision makers and specialists from different countries of the world, which enhances the global dialogue on empowering women and family and their pivotal role in sustainable development and allows guests and heads of delegations participating in the meetings of the Women’s Status Committee to see their high -end projects and initiatives in all fields.
The opening witnessed a speech by His Majesty Queen Selevia, the Queen of Sweden, delivered on her behalf by His Excellency Paulina Brandberg, Minister of Gender Equality in Sweden, in which she confirmed that the “Mother of the Emirates” exhibition highlights the achievements achieved by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak in terms of strengthening the empowerment of women and their rights in the United Arab Emirates, the Middle East and the world.
She added that the rights of women and children are deeply interconnected, as specialized organizations were established to enhance these rights, including the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood in the UAE and the World Childhood Foundation and over the years.
She pointed out that the United Arab Emirates hosted a summit entitled “We are protecting” to find a safer digital world, and the International Childhood Foundation is proud to be part of this initiative, which integrates the role of artificial intelligence to ensure the safety of children, and the leadership of the United Arab Emirates played in hosting this important gathering a major role in its success.
She expressed deep admiration for the efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, asking to continue the joint cooperation to support women and children in the UAE and the world.
His Majesty Aziza Amina Mimouna, Sultana of the Malaysian state of Pahang, delivered a registered speech at the opening ceremony, in which she appreciated the important role of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Mother of the Emirates” in supporting women and girls around the world, through her initiatives to empower women and advance their capabilities, and provide all means for decent and independent living, to contribute to building the generations of tomorrow and the future future Sustainable development.
His Excellency Mohammed Issa Abu Shahab, the permanent representative of the state to the United Nations in his speech, said that the United Arab Emirates has realized since its establishment the role that is indispensable to women and girls in advancing progress and forming a more peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world, and in this way, the UAE has presented a set of policies, legislations and programs that enhance the participation of full, equal and purposeful women, integrate them in all fields and enable them to lead Innovation and prosperity.
He added that in order to guide the vision of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Mother of the Emirates”, Emirati women continue to achieve successes that contribute to pushing our country towards more excellence and playing leadership roles in diplomacy, which reflects our broader commitment to the agenda of women, peace and security, and the sustainable development goals.
He said that this exhibition is a testament to the ambition of women and their great capabilities in the United Arab Emirates and around the world, and an invitation to work to move forward, and he explained that the path to gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls is long, so this event will be a moment to confirm our joint responsibility to build a world in which every woman and a girl has the opportunity to prosper, stressing that the United Arab Emirates will continue to work alongside the United Nations and the world partners to achieve this goal.
His Excellency Al -Reem Al -Falasi, Secretary -General of the Council of Motherhood and Childhood in the country, said that when the history of nations is written, it is not registered with words, but also engraved in the hearts and the minds of generations, and hesitates in the souls that are inspired by it.
She added: “Today we value and appreciate the initiatives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, which is a model for the power behind development and modernization, and it is a great honor to stand before you today in this prestigious gathering to celebrate her highness, which devoted her life to supporting others and her steps were not just normal steps, but rather were established in an indispensable commitment, and formed a future in which Emirati women stand a pioneer in politics The economy, and an effective contribution to the progress of our country. “
She pointed to the establishment of her highness and support for the General Women’s Union in 1975, which was not just the establishment of an institution, but was the dawn of a new era, in which women were able to become a decision maker and influential in their societies, and an engineer for their future and said that while we see today the Emirati women with leadership positions and excel in the economy, but the space we realize that this dream was not just an ambition, but rather a promise of achievement, and a journey You will never stop.
At the end of her speech, she said: “I stand here thanks to its highness just as thousands of women stand today, as it is able to see it, it is the pulse of this nation and its live conscience, and the symbol of the continuous giving and the leadership that is built without looking back, and in this exhibition that bears its name, we not only celebrate its achievements, but we renew our commitment to continuing the trip, and carrying the flame that it carried and is still moving forward.”
