المملكة: With special degrees, it is added to the work of the year … new programs for evaluating students in the subjects

The Ministry of Education has announced the launch of comprehensive programs to measure and evaluate male and female students in all subjects, starting from the third grade to the third year of secondary school.
The Ministry stated that these programs come within the framework of its endeavor to develop evaluation mechanisms and improve the quality of educational outputs.

Male and female evaluation programs

It stated that the evaluation programs will be implemented from Sunday 16 Ramadan 1446 AH to Wednesday 19 Ramadan 1446 AH.
She emphasized that degrees of these evaluation programs will be allocated, and to add them to the degrees of the work of the year for students, which reflects the importance of these programs in assessing the general performance of the student.
The ministry added that the main goal of these programs is to stand at the level of real academic achievement for students in various subjects, and to determine their strengths and weaknesses.

She pointed out that this step will enable teachers and school administrations to provide the necessary support to students and design treatment and enrichment programs that meet their individual needs.

Developing the educational process

This step aims to fully and comprehensively develop the educational process, as decision makers were able to measure education outputs, to achieve the desired goals, and make appropriate corrective decisions.
These programs are expected to contribute to promoting the culture of continuous evaluation, and encouraging students to diligence and perseverance throughout the school year.
It will also provide teachers with accurate tools to measure the extent of students’ absorption of concepts and knowledge, and to determine the effectiveness of the teaching methods followed.

On the other hand, starting from the next academic year, the new structure that includes the closure of education offices will be applied, and the transfer of the roles of educational supervisors to become resident supervisors inside schools.
This comes within the framework of enhancing administrative and educational efficiency, reducing organizational levels, and enabling schools to perform their tasks with greater flexibility and independence.
The education sector in the Kingdom is witnessing a qualitative shift with the entry of the third semester of the year 1446 AH, which represents the last stage of the presence of education offices and some educational departments in the governorates and villages.
The Minister of Education has authorized the education departments to adopt the closure of the education offices and its departments according to what is determined by the approved transformation framework.
