Hamdan bin Mohammed is witnessing the signing of an agreement to support the construction and care of mosques in Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, stressed that Dubai continues the construction march towards a prosperous future, while enabling its community with the values rooted in identity, in an embodiment of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God bless him, and the role of Dubai pioneering in charitable work.
This came during the attendance of His Highness the signing of a strategic agreement between the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Action, and the Dubai Land and Property Department, aimed at promoting sustainability in building and operating mosques in real estate development areas in the Emirate of Dubai, in cooperation with a group of real estate developers, and expanding the partnership between the government and private sectors, to devote the role of mosques in society as an influential and humanitarian radiation centers, enhances values and establishes identity and can Family.
His Highness said: “I witnessed the signing of a strategic agreement between the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Action, and the Department of Land and Property in Dubai, in cooperation with a group of real estate developers, with the aim of enhancing sustainability in building, operating and caring for mosques in the real estate development areas in the emirate, and these companies made contributions of 560 million dirhams, within this initiative, and I also met a group of good people and white hands from the sponsors of God’s homes in Dubai.”
His Highness added in a post on the “X” platform yesterday: “The fruitful and continuous cooperation between the government and private sectors, as well as the contributions of individuals and support for charitable projects, is the embodiment of our authentic values and the Dubai’s humanitarian message.”
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum met a group of donors from mosques and real estate developers, in appreciation of their efforts and prominent role in community service, by contributing to building and caring for mosques. His Highness praised the cooperation between the governmental and private sectors, in addition to individuals, in supporting projects with a deep social impact, and stressed that these initiatives reflect the values of authentic giving in the Dubai community.
His Highness the Crown Prince of Dubai noted the initiative to care for mosques in the real estate development areas, as it is a successful model for the strategic partnership between the governmental and private sectors, which Dubai was a leader in its activation for decades to implement ambitious future projects at the emirate level.
The initiative succeeded in attracting great support and wide interaction, as strategic partnership notes were signed with many real estate developers, with total contributions of 560 million dirhams, distributed over several projects, to support the construction and care of mosques in various real estate development areas in Dubai.
The list of companies joining the initiative included: Emaar Real Estate, Damak Real Estate, Azizi Real Estate Development, Danoub Real Estate, Uru 24 Real Estate Development and HRE Real Estate Development.
On this occasion, the Director General of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Action in Dubai, Ahmed Darwish Al -Muhairi, stressed that the initiative comes within the department’s vision to enhance sustainability and community partnership in building and caring for mosques, noting that cooperation with the private sector represents a pivotal step towards achieving integration to ensure the continuity of religious services according to the highest standards.
He said: «This agreement reflects our commitment to enhancing the concept of social responsibility and involving all sectors in supporting projects of a human and religious nature, which contributes to the consolidation of the role of mosques as integrated community centers that keep pace with the developments of society.
For his part, the Director General of the Land and Property Department in Dubai, Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita said: “The partnership between the government and private sectors is one of the most important engines supporting Dubai’s vision in building sustainable and developed societies … The role that real estate developers play in supporting this initiative reflects their commitment to the effective contribution to the development of the community, the land and property department is committed to facilitating such qualitative initiatives, and promoting sustainability in Real estate development projects, in order to achieve the development goals of the Emirate of Dubai.
The total contributions to the mosque sponsorship initiative reached more than 560 million dirhams, distributed over projects that support the building and care of mosques in various real estate development areas, to serve more than 50 thousand worshipers, Emaar Real Estate has made a contribution of 280 million dirhams to support 42 mosques in nine areas, with a capacity of 29 thousand and 696 worshipers, while my dear real estate development contributed to an amount of 80 million AED to support three mosques in three areas, with a capacity of 7,000 worshipers. Damac Real Estate provided 50 million dirhams to support seven mosques in four regions, with a capacity of 3600 worshipers, and Uro 24 contributed to real estate development at the amount of 50 million dirhams, to support six mosques in three areas with a capacity of 3,300 worshipers.
In addition, the HRE Real Estate Development contributed at 50 million dirhams, to support five mosques in three areas, with a capacity of 3000 worshipers, while Danube Real Estate provided 50 million dirhams, to support four mosques in two areas, with a capacity of 3,200 worshipers.
This initiative reflects the role of social responsibility for institutions and companies, and facilitates the participation of society in all its categories and activities in charitable and societal initiatives, in a manner that ensures the sustainability of the employment of mosques in high quality and efficiency.
At the same time, this leading societal initiative that is consistent with the Dubai government’s vision to promote the quality of life contributes to achieving the goals of the Dubai 2033 plan, represented in the Dubai Social Agency (33), and the consolidation of mosques as community centers with a positive and sustainable influence, in line with the strategy of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Work under the slogan “closer to society”.

For his part, the founder and chairman of the Azizi Real Estate Group, Miris Azizi, expressed his happiness with the participation of the group in the initiative by building five mosques, in addition to providing a special donation to the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Action, to contribute to the maintenance of 10 mosques in Dubai.
