Dubai Roads: Artificial Intelligence raises the level of compliance with licensing activities

Dubai, March 17 / WAM / Dubai Roads and Communications Authority has made tangible progress in the organizational compliance with licensing activities during the year 2024, as the percentage of commitment to licensing services to regulations and legislation increased by 20% compared to 2023, which reflects the authority’s efforts to improve the business environment according to the highest quality and transparency standards.

Last year witnessed the implementation of 579 thousand searches and audit operations on licensing transactions and activities, an increase of 20% from the previous year, while violations recorded a decrease of 3%, which confirms the effectiveness of control and awareness procedures in the sector.

Ahmed Mahboub, Executive Director of the Licensing Corporation in the Roads and Transport Authority, said that the authority adopted the techniques of data analysis and artificial intelligence to direct the inspections towards the activities most vulnerable to violations, which contributed to raising the level of compliance and enhancing transparency in the licensing sector, indicating that the authority carried out 30 inspection and awareness campaigns in cooperation with 9 different bodies, which contributed to increasing awareness among service providers and reducing violations.

Mahboub stressed that the authority is currently working on implementing new development solutions to enhance compliance, including automation of audit operations, improving service standards, and increasing smart inspection campaigns, as part of the authority’s strategy to ensure the highest levels of safety and quality in licensing services in the Emirate of Dubai.
