Announcing the winning companies, the licenses of disclosure in the first strand belts in Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced the victory of a number of local and international companies with the licenses of disclosure in the first stunt belts of its kind in the Kingdom, with the locations of Jabal Sayed and Al -Hajar, which extends over an area of 4,788 square kilometers, within the ministry’s plan to accelerate the pace of exploration and exploitation of mineral wealth in the Kingdom, which is valued at 9.3 trillion riyals.
The Ministry indicated that this competition received 14 offers submitted by several international and local companies and alliances from companies that have passed pre -qualification, where the offers submitted were evaluated according to criteria that included technical expertise, work programs provided, and social and environmental obligations.
Basic and valuable minerals
This competition included several sites, including two licenses to detect in the mountain belt, which extends over an area of 2,892 square kilometers, and includes basic and precious minerals, including copper, zinc, lead, gold, and silver.
The competition also included two licenses to be revealed at the Al -Hajjar site, located in the Wadi Chwas belt on an area of 1,896 square kilometers, which contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver.
International mining companies
It is striking that major international mining companies get mining licenses for the first time in the Kingdom, where “Zijin Maining” companies, “Hancock Brucecketing” and “Fida Limited” companies are among the largest mining companies in the world; What confirms the attractiveness of the Saudi mining sector and the opportunities offered for exploration licenses for major mining companies.
The Ministry confirmed that the total spending on exploration by the winning companies reaches more than 366 million riyals during the next three years, in addition to more than 22 million riyals, companies pledged to spend on developing local communities close to mining sites, while contributing to creating job opportunities for the children of those areas.
Enabling mining exploration
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources had launched the second phase of the Tamkeen Exploration Program in cooperation with the Ministry of Investment; With the aim of supporting mining exploration activities and reducing risks to exploration companies during their early stages, the Kingdom also provides other incentives within the mining investment system, including allowing the establishment of foreign companies by 100%, and the possibility of obtaining financing of 75% of the capital costs through the Saudi Industrial Development Fund.
These competitions come within the efforts of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources to achieve the goals of the comprehensive strategy for the mining and mining industries sector in line with the Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to maximize the benefit of mineral wealth, and to enhance the role of the mining sector as a basic pillar in the national economy.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced within the activities of the fourth edition of the International Mining Conference held last January, the launch of 50,000 square kilometers of stumping belts that contain gold, copper, and zinc, as part of its efforts to enhance exploration and provide an attractive investment environment for local and international mining companies, and opportunities can be applied through a mining platform.
