The Syndicate of Musical Professions in Egypt, headed by the artist Mustafa Kamel, decided to prevent Lebanese artist Haifa Wehbe from singing inside Egypt, based on a complaint filed by her former business manager, Khaled Mustafa Hassanein, known as Khaled Al -Tohamy.

The decision came after Wehbe did not respond to the official summons by the union to attend the investigation of the complaint, which prompted the legal committee to take a decision to prevent it from obtaining singing permits inside the country, and it was ratified at the meeting of the union’s board of directors on March 16, 2025.

Khaled Al -Tohamy filed a complaint with the Syndicate of Musical Professions, explaining the details of the conflict that arose between him and Haifa Wehbe during his work as a director of her work, accordingly, the union sent an official summons to the artist to investigate the matter, as two separate appointments were set for her attendance, but she did not respond to either of them. As a result, the Investigation Committee met with the union and decided not to grant any future permits to sing inside Egypt. This recommendation was approved during the meeting of the Syndicate’s Board of Directors, which made the decision formally and enforced until further notice.

The organizer of the Haifa Wehbe party in the capital, Kuwait, had announced the cancellation of a “special reasons”, after it was scheduled to be held on March 31 in conjunction with Eid al -Fitr celebrations.

Zaid Abdel -Reda, director of the Arts Center for Artistic Production and Distribution, said that the ceremony was canceled for reasons beyond the will, stressing that all the amounts that were paid will be retrieved.

The ceremony was scheduled to be held in Kuwait City for Motor Sports.
