"Abu Dhabi Mobility" Announces facilities for visitors to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque during the holy month

Abu Dhabi, March 20 / WAM / The Integrated Transport Center, “Abu Dhabi Mobility”, affiliated with the Municipalities and Transport Department, announced a set of services and facilities allocated to visitors to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque during the holy month, as part of its efforts to improve traffic and enhance the smooth flow of movement in the area surrounding the mosque, especially during the Tarawih prayer periods and prayer prayer in the last ten days of the blessed month.
In the context of its continuous efforts to improve public transport services and facilitate the transportation of worshipers during the holy month of Ramadan, the center will operate 10 free buses linking the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to the replacement point in the Rabban region.
This initiative comes within its efforts to facilitate the arrival of worshipers, especially during the periods that are very popular, and the service is characterized by a regular time frequency that guarantees comfortable and effective transportation, and facilities also include monitoring the roads surrounding the mosque and intersections governed by traffic lights through digital surveillance cameras, with the aim of monitoring any traffic or emergency congestion and an immediate response to it, which ensures streamlined and safe traffic.
Mobile electronic panels were also provided to direct visitors to the situations designated with ease, in addition to activating guidance messages on fixed electronic panels (VMS) surrounding the mosque, to alert road users and guide them to the best available tracks, in addition, field inspectors have been allocated to light signals and intersections surrounding the mosque, to ensure the organization of traffic and rapid dealing with any challenges Road users face during prayer times.
Facilities also include providing road support service and vehicle diameter, and intensifying monitoring patrols around the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque to ensure the speed of response and the evacuation of traffic accident sites, which contributes to providing a smoother and secure traffic environment during the holy month.
With regard to the transportation of taxis, Abu Dhabi announced to move from allocating 100 taxis per day during the holy month of Ramadan, to meet the needs of the visitors of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, with the possibility of increasing the number of vehicles in proportion to the increasing demand during this period.
