“UAE Health” graduated the first batch of the “Training Training” program in psychiatry

The Emirates Health Services Corporation announced today the graduation of the first batch of the “Training Training Training” program in psychiatry for primary care, which it organized in cooperation with the University of California in Erfin, in a prominent step within its efforts to enhance the integration of mental health into the primary health care system, in a manner that ensures the provision of comprehensive health services for community members and facilitating their access to it, and in line with the goals of the national strategy of life quality 2031.

Dr. Essam Al -Zarouni, Executive Director of the Acting Medical Services Sector at the Emirates Health Services Corporation, stressed that the organization of this program reflects the firm commitment of the Foundation to enhance mental health services by integrating it into the primary health care environment, in line with the goals of the national mental health policy aimed at setting a multi -sectors national framework to develop these services according to the best international standards, expressing the aspiration to expand the program to ensure the sustainability of these efforts and promoting the quality of life in the society.

Dr. Nour Al -Muhairi, Director of Mental Health Department at the Foundation, said that the program represents a qualitative step towards improving the integration between mental health services and primary care, pointing to its role in building sustainable capabilities for the future by enabling graduates to train other doctors.

“Through this program, we aim to build a supportive environment that allows patients to obtain psychological support in early stages, which contributes to improving therapeutic results and enhancing the psychological well -being of society as a whole.”

The “Training Training” program is characterized by a comprehensive approach that includes more than 50 training hours distributed in the form of monthly electronic lectures, individual counseling sessions, and extensive workshops in the United States, where participants learn how to identify early symptoms of psychological disorders, perform psychological assessments efficiently, and provide scientific evidence -based treatments, including cognitive therapy, motivational interviews and management Pharmacy, and after completing the requirements of the program, the participants obtain a certificate from the University of California Medical College, Irfin, which allows them to apply their knowledge directly in their daily practices.

The Foundation began training the second batch of the “Training Training Training” program in psychiatry for primary care expected to be graduated by the end of this year, bringing the total number of Emirati doctors who joined the program to 15 doctors, which enhances their ability to diagnose and manage common mental disorders, such as anxiety, depression and mood disorders, within the initial care environment.

The “Training Training” program aims to provide primary health care doctors with the necessary skills to provide early interventions, reduce the stigma associated with mental disorders, and to enhance health services provided to patients in primary health care centers by providing the possibility of obtaining psychological support faster and more efficient, in addition to improving prevention and early detection of common disorders to achieve better treatment results in the long run.
