Forest fires in North Carolina caused a compulsory evacuation order in one of the provinces, as emergency crews work to control fire in a state area still recover from Hurricane Helen.
The Public Safety Department of North Carolina, the US state of North Carolina, announced a mandatory evacuation starting from 8:20 pm on Saturday (00:20 Sunday morning, GMT) for parts of Polic County in the western state.
The Public Safety Administration warned in a publication on social media the population of specific methods, saying: “The vision will decrease in the region and the evacuation roads/corridors can become blocked, if you do not leave now, you may surround, hit or kill.”
She indicated that a shelter was created in Columbus, North Carolina.
The western region of North Carolina state was severely damaged by Hurricane Helen last September, and among the widespread damages, the floods were swept away by more than 1.6 km of corridors heading east on the highway No. 40 leading to the east of Tennessee and partially closed to traffic until recently.
