المملكة: Empowering school leaders .. “Education” launches a new evaluation mechanism for school principals
The amendments included full automation of the process of calculating the evaluation electronically, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
The new evaluation mechanism, which has been adopted, includes a set of criteria and indicators that cover various aspects of leadership work in the school.
School leaders evaluation criteria
The new mechanism focuses on enhancing belonging and loyalty to the homeland and national values, encouraging interaction with the professional society through exchanging experiences and knowledge, developing professional skills, and adopting best educational practices.
The mechanism attaches special importance to interacting with parents, by supporting and enhancing an effective educational environment that contributes to improving the academic achievement of students, and supports their educational and personal development.
The new mechanism encourages school principals and agents to implement innovative initiatives that contribute to raising the level of educational performance, achieving the strategic targets of the Ministry, and making a positive and tangible change in the school environment.
With regard to the development of teachers’ performance, the new mechanism helps the school leaders to set clear goals for the professional development of teachers, based on their actual needs, and according to the approved professional standards.
It also helps them to develop appropriate plans to achieve and implement these goals, with the aim of improving the general performance of teachers.
The mechanism seeks to determine the strengths and aspects that need to develop in the professional performance of teachers, to enhance positive aspects and address shortcomings.
It also stresses the importance of providing continuous feedback to teachers, and following up on the achievement of specified job performance indicators.
The new mechanism also includes the implementation of scientific procedures to improve learning results, and create a safe and stimulating school environment for learning and creativity.
