"Emple" Evolution of a project for solar photovoltaic energy installed on the roofs of industrial buildings in the country

Abu Dhabi, March 25/ WAM/ The Emstil Group has entered into a strategic partnership, with Yellow Door Energy, which specializes in providing sustainable energy solutions for companies in the Middle East and Africa, to develop the largest solar PV project installed on the roofs of industrial buildings in the UAE.
The project, whose production capacity reaches 31.5 MW, will provide Emstil facilities with clean energy, in order to support its orientations towards promoting dependence on renewable energy sources, and consolidating a sustainable model in the sustainable manufacturing sector in the region.
This initiative is a pivotal step within the “Emstil” strategy to reduce the carbon footprint, and is consistent with the UAE’s commitment to achieving climate neutrality by 2050.
Under the agreement, Yellow Door Energy will finance, develop, possess, operate and maintain the solar panels installed on 40 surfaces of the “Emstil” industrial facility in Abu Dhabi Industrial City (ICAD 1).
The project will include the installation of highly efficient solar panels on the roofs of buildings and parking lots, as well as dual -facial panels installed on car park umbrellas to enhance clean energy production and improve the efficiency of electricity generation from renewable sources.
Upon completion, the project is expected to produce about 50 million kilowatts – an hour of clean electricity annually, which contributes to reducing about 16,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions associated with domain emissions 2 annually, over the next 25 years.
Full dependence on self -produced electricity will reduce energy costs and reduce the carbon footprint directly, which reflects Emstil’s commitment to remove carbon and enhance the efficiency of its operational operations.
Engineer Saeed Ghamran Al -Rumaithi, CEO of the Emstil Group, said that “Amsteil” puts a sustainability approach at the heart of its strategy, as the reduction of carbon emissions is a basic pillar in its directions to enhance sustainable manufacturing.
He added that the partnership with Yellow Door Energy is an important step in implementing the “Emestil” strategy to remove carbon, achieve greater energy efficiency, and expand dependence on renewable sources within our operational operations.
He explained that this project will allow the integration of solar energy on a large scale in its industrial facilities and the enhancement of its leadership in industrial sustainability and support its commitment to the active contribution to achieving the UAE’s targets to reach climate neutrality by 2050, and new standards are established to adopt renewable energy in the iron sector in the country, and our orientation reflects towards adopting innovative solutions that accompany future aspirations.
For his part, Jeremy Crane, CEO of Yellow Door Energy Group, expressed pride in cooperation with Amstel through the Solar Energy Recruitment Agreement, which will enable it to shift towards clean energy and achieve a large saving in operational costs, with a total capacity of 31.5 MW, and this project shows the extent of solar energy capabilities in operating the most important leading sectors in the UAE, stressing the company’s commitment The state -based headquarters, by supporting companies in reducing energy costs and reducing carbon emissions resulting from its business.
The project is scheduled to start during the year 2025, with the operating space in 2026.
Yellow Door Energy will fully supervise the development processes, to ensure a smooth implementation without the need for any prior investments on the side of Emple.
The Solar Energy Rental model allows the Emstil Group to take advantage of renewable energy solutions without tolerating operational risks, allowing it to focus on its basic activities while enhancing its commitment to sustainability.
Within the framework of its comprehensive strategy to reduce the carbon footprint, Emple aims to reduce 40% of the absolute emissions of greenhouse gases within the iron business unit, and 30% in the cement business unit by 2030, based on 2019 as a basis year.
This trend comes within the group’s vision to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
