المملكة: A safe leave .. The Roads Authority warns of the most important causes of accidents

The General Authority for Roads warned the drivers of vehicles of the dangers of committing one of the most common causes of traffic accidents, as part of the campaign launched entitled “A safe leave”, in partnership with the Ministerial Traffic Safety Committee.
The campaign aims to urge road users to adhere to safety guidelines before traveling between the cities of the Kingdom during the Eid Al -Fitr holiday, to ensure the safety of everyone on the roads, within the framework of the continuous efforts made by the authority to raise the level of road safety and reduce the percentage of deaths on the roads.

Safe vacation

The Roads Authority stressed the importance of avoiding some behaviors, which increase the risk of accidents, such as not leaving a safe distance between vehicles and approaching a lot of the front vehicle, calling for a commitment to the right to traffic and not to ignore traffic signals or give priority.
The commission indicated that the sudden deviation by changing the path without signals or alerting, using the phone or carrying out activities that attract attention while driving, is one of the most prominent risk factors, in addition to driving in the opposite direction.
The “safe leave” campaign comes to reflect the commitment of the General Authority for Roads and the Ministerial Committee for Traffic Safety to enhance awareness of the safety of road users and provide a safe travel environment for all citizens and residents during the vacation period, as this initiative is part of the road sector strategy based on safety, quality and traffic density.
