2.4 million beneficiaries of meals "Islamic Dubai" In Ramadan

Dubai, March 27 /WAM /The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Work in Dubai said that its charitable initiative “distributing fasting breakfast meals” recorded a significant increase in the number of beneficiaries to reach more than 2.4 million beneficiaries.
This initiative came in conjunction with the general community to combine charitable work and volunteering and contribute to delivering goodness to the various groups of society, where more than 1900 permits were issued to distribute meals in separate areas of the emirate.
In the context of supporting the culture of good and giving, the “Champions meals” initiative, in cooperation with requests for distributing more than 1400 meals, would reflect the spirit of social responsibility.
Mohamed Musabah Dahi, Executive Director of the Charitable Labor Sector in the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Action General Coordinator for the Ramadan Initiative in Dubai, stressed that the great demand for the meal distribution initiative reflects the extent of societal cohesion and the sincere desire to support the needy during Ramadan.
