Saif bin Zayed meets the Baniyas Ladies team for Jujitsu, crowned with a championship cup "Mother of the Emirates"
Abu Dhabi March 28/ WAM/ The team, His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, met the President of the Bani Yas Sports Club, the Bani Yas Jujitsu team – women, who recently crowned the “Mother of the Emirates” Cup for Jujitsu for the third time in a row, in the presence of the technical and administrative staff of the team, and a number of members of the club’s board of directors.
His Highness congratulated the players and trainers on the efforts made and on this new achievement, calling them to do more and continue to work and train and raise the levels of performance, not only to achieve local championships, but to shine and raise the name of the Emirates in international forums through the representation of national teams.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al -Raisi, Chairman of the Board of Bani Yas Cultural Club, and His Excellency Brigadier Nasser Al -Kaabi, Vice -Chairman, His Excellency Salem Nayef Al -Kathiri, Vice President of the Sports Games Company, and a number of club officials.
It is worth noting that the Bani Yas Jujitsu team – Ladies, who won the title of “Mother of the Emirates” Cup for Jujitsu for the third time in a row, during which he won 49 different medals, including 24 golds, 15 silver and 10 bronze medals.
The team consists of 62 players who are divided into 5 Sunni groups, starting with the adult category for women, an under 18 years of age for young women, and the groups of young women under the ages of 16, 14, and 12 years.
The tournament witnessed high technical levels, as the Baniyas Club players presented strong remnants, during which they showed advanced technical skills, and they proved their worth and the level of their training capabilities, and the tournament witnessed exciting competitions with other national teams, reflected the level of development in the sport of women’s jujitsu in the country.
The Bani Yas Sports Club is distinguished in the sport of jujisto for both sexes, as it is keen to qualify the elements according to the highest levels of training and investment in emerging talents, while providing an integrated sports environment that enhances the readiness of players and players, and provides them with opportunities for development, excellence and representation of national teams in various forums and championships.
